Everyone seemed to document the day, so I did too..
Here's a typical picture of the bottom of our hill. It would have been much more exciting if the sprinklers were on, that makes it look really cool
Lunch with a friend.. sushi makes people happy... ahh, I am just remembering it!
a few crazy mailboxes by me (expect more of these in future posts)
For the love of all that's good and holey take down the dang sign, GRASS HAS GROWN!
oh ya, every neighborhood has one kook!
Uh, Cinderella line 3 please...
Ok, you thought of that I Love Lucy too, didn't ya!
WE had girls night out, it was on then canceled and then at the last minute on again. We went to the pottery place (where I made the granny mugs) and Kim and I wondered for at least a half hour trying to make up our minds. She decided on a sushi plate and I saw this near there and grabbed it up.. It's a separated dish (not sure if you can see the separation between the eyes and at the edge of the red.) and I could not figure out what to do, then this came to me... my own original design for Miss T when she starts eating real food.. Cute Eh? what a great way to end 080808...

I.am.a.lo-zer!! It didn't hit me all about the 08/08/08 neatness until about midnight...chances lost FOREVER! Well,I'll be more prepared for 09/09/09!
Those sushi rolls are HUGE!!! It sounds like you had a fun day...love all the quirky pics!
I haven't had a sushi night in a good long while. I need to get on top of that pronto!
I've always wanted to go to one of those pottery places. I'll have to see if we have any around here.
I'm kicking myself right now. I missed the Olympics Opening Ceremony, and apparently they were flipping sweet. I hope to find it posted on the Internet somewhere.
Nice pics....I guess I missed that I love Lucy episode.
Cute dish...cute idea...not sure how I would have thought to paint that.....
coming over from Blog Around the World... FUN pics! :) You know, it never occurred to me to do something special on 8-8-08... But I'm like that I guess... missing all kinds of important things in the blur of life. Hopefully I"m catching at least the most important little things. We can hope anyway!
Love the golf mail box! how'd you do it?
