Dilly What?? OH NO!!!!!!!

Oh my Goodness.... I am such an Idiot!!! So my cousin (funny pants man himself) gave me a bunch of old tee shirts to make bags and stuff because he's got a plethora of them. So, after making the pillowcase pants I decided to try to make some with Tee's but because I don't have any Tee's with a picture down one leg like in the blog I got the pattern from, I turned them so I could do a front to back thing like most tee shirts would have.... In normal trying I did what I always do and tried to make the biggest pants I could so I know my sizing limits. Large tee shirts will make about a kids size 5 pants.. and of course anything smaller than that.
So, I am sewing away, 2 minutes later, done.. Super easy and I am SOOO loving the FOE.. (Sewzanne, I may need stock!) it was honestly 4 stitches and they were done.. and ready to wear...
So, I look at them, cute, but the pocket must be the front or it will be in the kids butt crack.. So, then I start looking at the saying again.. Hmm.. that's not a resort in Florida (where the tee shirt came from) What is that... Hmm...
Googled... Oh No! you can't be serious... I just made a kids Size 5 pants that say what!!!
Do I Look Like I Give A Flying F#$%! KIDS PANTS!!! OH MAN!! Oh, I can already hear some of you laughing.. Yes Carrie, you! Kelly and unfortunately Z's mom has already called them and so she WINS the Pants... Which will be really cute next time Zander decides to cook the spatula!

Tricia Needs...

Ok, I stopped in to say hi to Z's mom today and she had this thing on her page that I used to do in my training class and tell people it was a Fortune Teller and if they did well we could tell fortunes at the end of class.. So here goes..

Go to Google and entered "(your name)" + the word "needs" and hit enter.....
Here are my results....

Tricia Needs...

Tricia needs
constant assistance to meet her personal care - does this include a personal shopper and cook?
Tricia needs to move back in with her parents - again I say, personal cook? anyone?
Tricia needs major help! - Well I never!
Tricia needs a rest from me. - not so sure if that means I have multiple personalities or if there is another person I need a rest from.
Tricia needs a CAT. - no not so much, I feed enough people here, can we go back to the personal chef?
Tricia needs to pee - uh, I just did but thanks... oh, wait, maybe I do need to pee...???
Tricia needs to get a lawyer and see how much she can get from the old man. - HAHAHHAA he's not worth anything without me!
Tricia needs affection, stability and devotion, not charm and empty words. - Amen Sistah! you tellum!
Tricia needs help, needs therapy, not the electric chair. ... - Gulp.. lets not go to far here people
Tricia Needs Our Prayers - aww thanks, can you pray for that cook and maybe some ice cream too?
Tricia needs to realise that while her exes flaws are made public, so is her act of craziness. - dang, I didn't know I was so popular!
Tricia needs to stop talking & copying Tyra Banks - Fierce!!!
and that's all Tricia needs. ... you can say that again

Red Rover, Red Rover....

I got tagged by Somewhere over the Rainbow for a meme: Six UN-Spectacular Things About Me.

Dang, how do I narrow it down to only Six un-spectacular things about me.. there is so much oddity in this one crazy chick! Fine, rules are there to keep us all safe.. or something like that

Speaking of rules...

1. Link the person who tagged you
2. Mention the rules on your blog
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged

I think I can do this and I can say without a doubt that Kate is just lucky that she does not have a blog cuz,, well she's my number one on these things. HA KATE!!
Ok, lets get started.

1. I love sewing my own things, even if they turn out like crap, I just love sewing them.. Something about it just makes me happy.
2. I am allergic to mustard, odd I know but it breaks me out in hives, it's gotten better over the years but that's odd... and peppermint anything makes me sneeze(yes, that includes candy canes and I love them anyway).
3. I have an addiction to bad tv... and infomercials, I never buy anything but I have been known to watch the 3 am movie on regular TV even if it's one of those bad TBS movies and the cuss words have been replaced with really insane words and there are horrible commercials with Billy Mays in between.. I still love them.
4. I LOVE watching birds fly in flocks, I always have, there is something really amazing about the whole thing, if there were a DVD of that, I would buy it, and the waves that come up from behind a boat.. I would buy that on DVD too.. forget the fish tanks and fireplaces.
5. I have worked at over 5 pizza places and over a time span of over 10 years and still ended up in a professional job that people (sometimes) value my opinion. I still can't get over that one.
6. I like my kids toys and books more than I should.. I am worried that she's going to be bored with Barbie and I am going to lay there and keep dressing her up, cuz, ya, I can see me doing that.. I want one of those ones with the fabric and you would lift it up and put them on the half doll under it.. ya, can't find those things.. I LOVED THAT... they need to bring that thing back..

Sure wish this would have been more exciting like on Gray's when the sister talked about how she could etch-a-sketch really well.. ya, I can't..

Ok, Taggin time!!!
1. Ha Z's mom / Zander and Me... it's time.. Spill
2. Our World. Yup, come on it's fun..super cute new background!
3. Jaxen's Mommy, this will give you a reason to actually post! (Karla, tell Kris would ya)
4. Candid Carrie, this should be a hoot...
5. Creative Kismet.. Now that your test is over do something silly (other than make Brownies with Beans.. I am going to make those!)
6. Song for Whoever... Oh ya, you... Wow, and now that "get out of my dreams, get in to my car" song just popped in my head.. HAHAHAHAHA.. oh I need sleep!

Ya.. that was fun.. yes, please all of you make funny cracks now.. go on, I know you have something to say!

Things non-parents never think to say

Recently I had a conversation with my cousin to hear her 3 year old in the background yell out "surprise, I pooped!" Of course this is an occasion for joy with her being in the bathroom for 10 minutes ALONE for the first time. This was also followed by a very angry daddy who screamed for my cousin to come running, stopped at the edge of the hallway and yelled "GET MY CAMERA!" to which her husband then said "no, you are not taking a picture of her like that, we don't do that" and so my cousin then has to tell her 3 year old (ready?)
"We only wear CLEAN undies on our head, ok?"
Long story short her husband was still not happy with that answer but I am sure I never heard that line before I was around kids.

Other famous lines in our circle...
(said by me to one of the neighborhood twins)
"Um, we don't take our pants off in the front yard" --Yes, I know I did say front yard but you know what, choose your battles...
"I think you ran out of cute, and the only thing that fixes crabby is a nap" -- Editing somewhere between my brother and I and is now a staple in their household.
"I Hate Green!" -- My neighbor's daughter, who does not like change and just the day before got her room painted (guess what color)
"Hey, are we going to go back and see that guy in the treasure chest again?" - statement after leaving a funeral
"Hey, rub that on my butt" "That splashed my butt" and the most famous "No really, touch my butt" all three great lines by my (then) 3 year old niece at the NEIGHBORHOOD POOL... Which started my famous line
"Ok, no more butt talk" I am still thinking of making Tee Shirts for Christmas

No hassle for the HOFF?????

My mother had a "Jack Hannah" Experience taking a picture of a turtle, this started a really funny story that I want to share.

The morning Auntie Lisa got in town we were leaving for the air port to pick her up. I backed out of the drive way to see a turtle perfectly under the car very close to the tire. I was shocked that I didn't him him and gasped and told my mom (sitting in the back seat with the baby of course) to take a look. She leaped out of the car to take it's picture and stood by the car door zooming her camera. I then advised her that it would not bite nor run away and she could go for a closer look. The above picture is the one of George, we named him before we left. The little girl up the street also ran down to grab George and put him in her back yard before she missed the bus. Finally, I loaded up the photos on Flickr the other day. There was George, it was funny but two things happened.
First, someone in Latin America set the picture as his favorite within minutes of me loading them and Second happened the next morning, I called my mother and told her to sit down. I explained that she was famous, just like David Hassellhoff and even if he was not big in the US he was HUGE in Germany and her photos were the same.
I got an e-mail from my Flickr account that stated:
hello,
I very much like your boxturtle picture and i like to ask permission to use it on a forum in Holland/Belgium
www.schildpaddenforum.net

She took a moment,
then advised she had no idea who
David was
and would need to google him..

I feel whitty... oh so whitty...

Where to begin...
Mothers Day.. My first, I wanted breakfast in bed. Something simple, eggs? Cereal? bagel? Nothing big or spectacular. We didn't do breakfast, I did get two cute cards, one from Miss T and one from Big Daddy.. Bob's card was really funny.. I cracked up.
On the outside it has a chicken with really long legs and says "A Mothers Day Riddle" and the Chicken says "Why did the mom cross the road?"
Inside it says "No one could tell, really. She was mumbling something to herself about peace and quiet. She circled the block a couple of times and came back a lot happier"
Hmmm??? I don't get it... HA!!
So, for dinner... Bob went and got 2 steaks, and 4 Russian King Crab legs and grilled them up with veggies, yellow tomato, asparagus, and two kinds of mushrooms. Also, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and pears, and cheesecake lolly pops (good but not worth the price next time), two different B&J ice creams, and a cookie cake from Dierbers. Aww, romance with a baby monitor in the center of the table. Who needs candles? Taryn of course is a fan of the romance too, she didn't want to miss it, she was happy for all of 45 seconds.
We are slowly surviving the sugar coma! Kidding, it's been a few days and thankfully most of it is still around. I gave the neighbors most of the cookie cake.. No thanks to Rebekah and Aiden..they didn't even make a dent!
We may have talked daddy into that the day before with our new outfit. We are not sure it made an impact on him, he only took four THOUSAND pictures while she had it on!

Well, we had our two month Dr. visit and little Miss is on the map. She's almost 12 lbs already. I can't believe it but I will have guns like RB by the time she's six months like Aiden.. Ya baby!
All went well with the shots and confirming we have the Thrush, ugg. Not so fun and we got meds and thankfully early on. Dr said its slight but no need to not take the meds, they will help. I need to get some yogurt too so I can keep fighting this thing with help from the natural resources we have everyday.
Taryn had her first bottle, did I say that before? Well, I can't pump for a few days, they said wait 4 to 5 days from the LLL. I figure it's a good idea and we have so much frozen it's not a bad idea to dip into our month 1 supply anyway if needed. I got a sterilizer from Target.com Thanks Grannie Sandy and Auntie Katie for the gift cards... Came in handy. I am for sure a fan to sterilize everything going forward and it was worth the money in the end, we are going to try to stay with the BF as long as we can. Our little moose seems to be doing quite well with it so far.
I loaded some pictures on the Flickr site too, I know, I know I need to go Pro on there so I can do more with it but I just have not gotten around to doing it yet. Bla bla Bla..
Cell phone photos of the week!
So, I put on my same brown Born's that I have been wearing from October and went for a walk with Rebekah, (her idea so she could have some cookie and not feel bad about it) and got the hugest blister of my life.. Yes, it's gross but I am going to show you just because, well 1. its my blog and I can do what I want to and 2 because Tracey said she's never heard of anyone getting a blister in the center of their foot before. Good enough reasons.. if not skip over the next ones are pretty good.

I went to Walgreen's because someone needed her own items for around the house. Taryn needed her own head and shoulders because her scalp is still so dry and peeling. (Not sure if she would rather get that or the jeep from her dad! HA, don't tell him I said that, if he reads it well, we are all in trouble) but while there I got the BIGGEST thing of Smarties in the whole WORLD! Angie just ruined her keyboard drooling over this!

Stef and Adam are going to be so proud, Taryn is wearing her tye dye that they got her. Cute little hippie sleeping. Surprised it didn't' come with a beer and a dead cd... kidding

Here's the two hippies together. Ok, please look at that kids face. I LOVE THAT SAD POUT. It's going to get her a lot if not most of what she wants from her father for most of her life but it's cute and not such a bad thing now.

That's about it from here, I can't think of much else that's going on. This weekend is brunch with Bob's mom and sisters, I am bringing Miss Thing because none of them have seen her yet, so she will wow them with her cuteness of course. More to come. P.S. don't forget to look at the flickr shots and there will be a post soon for people to post comments to Taryn, I want to get a few in from people for her book. Take your time, think of something brilliant and funny.

Ravings of a mad pregnant woman.. Caution F word below...

74 Postings and she's not here yet... Sounds like the start to a bad joke. I am waiting for Bob to get home so we can watch Lost. I was watching Season 2 of Project Runway. Not sure who watches that from work and reads this but Santio reminds me of Sam...Something about his rambling and the way he talks, funny thing is he's from St.Charles! Cracked me up.
Went to the Mall today, went to Pottery Barn and Macy's and found nothing.. Got Bubble Tea without the bubble, not in the mood for tapioca. I am on a massive sugar kick today, I ate a packet of Peeps, and almost a whole sleeve of GS Cookies.. WTF! I have done so well so far, what was going on with me. I think I am sad, scared and ready all at once.
Patti called, she said "What time is Monday anyway?" I said "We get there at 6:30 or we leave whenever they call actually, why?" She says " I just wanted to know what time to get there" I laugh and say "You can come up when we call you, I will not let you in before that". She then says "Don't you need support and people there>", "No, I have a lot going on and this is a big thing for me, I need Bob and I need to be calm, the last thing I need is anyone else in the room while I am in pain and scared" I then end with "I don't want to hurt your feelings but please don't come up until we call, I will not let you in".
People This is not a picnic! This is not a party! This is my life, I am not on a show, or part of a show. I am fine if Melissa wants to tape her delivery or if anyone else wants to do what they want. I have had friends that recently went into labor and were there for 26 hours THEN had a C-Section! You think you have seen crabby outta me? Try to crash my labor, that's gonna get you looking like Charlie Rose!

Love to you all, seriously but for the Love of all that is good and holey, treat me like I am a person, I am not holding up anyone's life (she's doing that on her own, I am doing all I can to get her here), I am not stopping the world from spinning, I am not your entertainment, and for God sake, I am not HIDING anything! FUCK! Cut me some slack, treat me like you understand how I feel.. I am being a drama queen here, Yes, please get me a mirror... No More.. Seriously, if this is disrupting your fucking life so much, don't talk to me, make it easier on us both, don't fucking call me and Huff in my Fucking Ear because things are not happening the way YOU want them to happen! My body is aching, and sore, and swollen, I feel like I am failing already even having this kid on time and I can't sleep and I can't eat half the things I want, I can't and have not had a drink in months, and I am not a big drinker but YES I NEED ONE NOW! Some of you are mothers and shame on you, I say it again SHAME ON YOU! Try to bring yourself to the point when things were happening to you and you wanted/needed understanding and a friend. I am sure I will get over this, I am sure I will be one of those people that remembers only the grand times and say things like I miss having her in my belly, and I remember _____ (insert mush here) but good really, treat me like this is my life, like I am your friend, daughter, relative, whatever.. that this is something that happens and something that is happening... This is not a soap opera, this is not reality tv, this is not happening at your leisure. I know that I have talked to many of you when you were pregnant and God forbid I was ever a bitch or said some of the things that were rude. I promise you this, your words can be hurtful, more hurtful that you know, more selfish and I can do without it. I don't need to hear that I was Swollen, or that I look Puffy, that I sound tired or what some have called bored but really is pain.
Wonder what kind of crazy I will be without any sleep at all??
Anyone have a white coat I can borrow, I would prefer silver on the straps but my wedding ring isn't fitting now so Gold would be ok too.

Dear Baby -

Dear Baby...
I can't wait to meet you. It feels like it's been forever from the time I first dreamed that you were coming. I can't tell you how many times you have changes in my mind, growing into and as a person. It's amazing, something that is going on in my head and in my body and both are separate functions but both effecting my dreams.
I know I thought you were a boy at first but I really am glad your a girl, I am proud of who I am and can 't wait to see the strong woman that you become in life. One woman that can speak her mind, her heart and her truth, a woman that knows what she wants (most of the time is fine) and is not afraid enough to stop going after it. It's ok to be afraid, and it's fine to wonder, but don't ever let that stop you from trying. It's ok to cry, it does not make you weak, there is a strength in showing your emotions, and feeling enough of yourself to be ok on the inside and show what is going on outside.
This pregnancy has changed me into so much more than I ever thought I would be (LITERALLY!) and it has helped me understand how to feel the changes in me and identify where my life and my body are. There has been a lot that has gone on in the past 9/10 months that I hope that you get to experience on your own. I promise you, I am going to sound a little whiny now but I know you are worth it. This is just how I am dealing some days and I hope you have the gift of gab like both of your parents, and I hope you love to read and write like your mother and you can see the world in a camera like your dad.
I hope that I didn't ruin Clementine's & oranges for you, I think I have eaten a lifetimes supply of them, I saved you chocolate like uncle Dave, you can fight over it with him, I had no desire for it the whole time. I never really got into a lot of cravings, but I did like rice crispy's with no sugar, milk super cold (Melissa would be proud if I used ice), gummy bears, sweetish fish, & sweet tarts. I think that I would not have any cravings that would stop me or pull me away but daddy craved Pantera's enough that I didn't need to, but I did love going to Wendy's.
I am going to take pictures of your room this week, I can't wait for you to see it. I showed you today where Aunt Anja is but I am sure you can't see her yet, soon enough you will know where everyone is and we will have fun finding them after we get post cards.
I can't begin to tell you how much this whole journey has changed my outlook on having a baby, there is so much that goes into finding out, telling daddy and then feeling your first movements. I think my favorite was when daddy could finally feel you and would talk to you and try to get you to kick more. There is nothing better than those first 7 months (for me with you) I really did have a good time figuring out who where we go from here, thinking of how your going to laugh, run, and do the things that I did as a kid. I heard the kids outside playing the other day and can't wait until that is you. Even the high pitched screams of girls when they are so excited they just can't hold it in. (that's an outside scream, ok)
I know I sound like I am not happy these days, I am it's just becoming a lot harder on me and my body. Your a whole lot of kid and you should be here soon. Dr said you could be about 8 pounds so that's hard for me to carry with no arms. It's hard on my belly and harder on my back. There comes a time when everything is just harder, being at home without you has been one of those things. I am ready for you to be here and have your own voice, even if it is at 3 am. My ankles are swelling everyday, it's not a pretty picture but I have to say it's not been to bad, thankfully I am not going to any fashion shows so I am fine in pants. My skin is so tight on my belly that it hurts to wear my shirt down over it and my belly button. If my back didn't hurt so bad from you sitting on my sciatica I would feel pretty good right now, but the pain is bad enough that I am having a hard time walking. This is no good for me, Melissa may have surgery soon (again) and it would be nice if I could go see her and actually be able to walk and sit once I got there. The heartburn has not been bad except the past few weeks and that's about 3 am which is always nice to wake up and have.
I take all of these things and try to put them in the back of my mind, knowing soon you will be here before we know it. One day we will paint crafts, cook cookies, and even tag team daddy and make him dye eggs with us (you can use the glue gun once your 9, maybe 8). We will carve pumpkins and find or make the best costumes ever, no matter what it is that you want to be. I can't say that I have a dream of you being one thing, in fact, I hope you have a love for many like I do. I hope that you get the chance to make donuts (yes Aunt Lisa did that) and I hope you get to learn how to shoot pool by the best (Uncle Mark may teach you), and work on cars even if they are stinky, they give you character and boys really find that hot, and I do hope you get to make pizzas like I did, or work at Ponderosa like dad. I hope that you suffer through a summer of minimum wage work and swimming with friends that leaves you golden brown and tired but remembering every moment, every song and every scent. I hope you laugh so hard your cheeks and stomach hurt, I hope you fall in love a lot, I hope you make mistakes and learn from them, they are not worth making if you do it over and over again. I hope you find a hero, and I hope you find a hobby, even if it's sticker collecting. I hope you have a best friend, one that talks you into painting and selling rocks and Popsicle sticks, even if you have to see her hurt and understand sometimes there's nothing you can do but be there, and know that forever she's there for you, telling stupid stories about you and her doing all the dumb things (that you learned from) and laughing over wine when your OLD like 30!
There are so many things that I want for you, more than anything I want you to be happy, healthy, (here), and the love of my and daddy's lives.
Hugs and kisses.
Mom

Groundhog Day reminded me, What about Bob?

It made me giggle to think of Groundhog's Day (the movie of course) and if you have not seen it, SEE IT.. It's so funny! So anyway, the movie reminded me of Bill Murray and that always reminds me of What about Bob The movie.. which now makes me giggle because, well if you have seen it you know that everything is about "baby steps" for this man in his life and now we all know we are for sure taking steps to baby.

So, I wanted to take some time and thank my wonderful Husband, Bob. He's been so supportive and understanding thru this whole crazy time and really has been a champ. There is no one else that would put up with all of the things that women go through in pregnancy other than a husband that really loves them. There is no one that puts up with tears over going to the gas station, trips to the store for $8 of Clementine's (2ish times each week), lots of milk, even more rolling over in the middle of the night to take up the bed, a few nice whacks in the head by accident when turning over, 11 different colors of paint for one room, everything pink (not really for me), unloading the car 4 times and putting things together, driveway shoveling, rental car arguments so we have 4 to all wheel drive, parenting classes and all day hospital visits, giving your daughter the world on her wall before shes even born, understanding the importance of having a glider and not a rocking chair, letting me sleep even if you want o relax and watch Seinfield, researching cribs until your eyes bulge, dealing with family, BOTH SIDES, at a shower, and being a champ, smoking outside (not even in the garage) even when it's 13 outside, helping with dishes, glasses of water day or night, sometimes both, endless hours of painting, helping with washing clothes, and hanging on tiny hanger, helping with thank you cards and silly stickers and return address labels without your name on them (oops they were free!), putting up with people when we have no picked out a name, helping me eat my cocoa puffs, getting me a coke, diet coke, caffeine free diet coke, coke zero all trying to get the right thing when you could not find what I asked for, putting up with the cold house, cold car, and a cold work, being the super driver and saving us from a worse accident, going to Mimi's after going to register even if you did want mexican, having to say "oh that is cute" enough to make you really want to puke, being a good sport, watching reruns of Grey's just because we are home sick and I can't sleep, cutting down trees in the back yard that the storm killed, being a great guy (of course), eating the rest of anything I can't finish, and just being Bob...

Babe, I love you, thanks for everything...

Week 35.. Already?

So it's week 35, not already... that was a joke. I am ready, I am so ready.. the room needs a bit more work and the girls are throwing me a shower this weekend. It's going to be a good time, I can't wait. I will be still driving the rental by then but eh, whatever.
Bob brought in the carseat and stroller last night and put them together. I think he likes it, likes it more that it's not pink. He said we can't return it because there's "no way in hell it's going back in the box" so I am hoping that's a good thing.
We are almost done with the room and if he gets a spike in energy it could be this weekend that those final coats are up and I can start putting the bedding on. I need to get a few more sheet sets and they are on sale if I want yellow.. Who can't like yellow, I mean really.
Jodie and Kim came back from Florida yesterday and Jodie stopped by on his way home and gave me some oranges!!! YUM.. They were really good and from Florida in our nice 29 degrees yesterday afternoon.
We stopped at the grocery store yesterday on the way home to get some more clementines and rice crispys, of course and I finally remember that for Christmas I got a $6 coupon for General Mills so I got some Cinnamon Toast Crunch, I forgot how good that stuff is... No milk thou.. It loses all the sugar then...
So, I am really really ready, did I mention that yet? I am sick and tired of hearing,"wow, your huge", "oh you really are out there", "Gosh, you have not had that baby yet?"and all of those other wonderful comments.
So many random thoughts right now. I think I am just ready to be able to sleep, I would prefer it be an external source that stops me, and not an internal one... That's fair, right?

I'm so silly but...

Today is my first shower, and I am not really sure what do do. I mean I did the wedding shower stuff but this is not the same, I could (and did) drink there and it didn't seem as much like I was not the guest of honor, but was... Ya know? I don't know what to do really.. It's across the street at Kim's so, I guess I walk over? Maybe I will call and ask what to do..
Yes, I am silly, I know.

Oh, and Bob is working on the flower, stem things today.. He thinks they look like Christmas Trees because they are too colorful.

1968 The Georgian (Church Newsletter from Mom's House)

My Mom found this in the drawer in the living room (that room you were never suppose to go in because there was furniture in there that no one ever sat on and now it's all dusty and gross and she wants to know if you want it)yeah... that room...

What A Child Might Tell Us
Dear Mom, Dear Dad,
Don't Spoil me. I know quite well that I shouldn't have all that I ask for.
I'm only testing you.
Don't be afraid to be firm with me. I prefer it. It makes me feel you care about me and are protecting me.
Don't let me form bad habits. I have to rely on you to detect them in the early years.
Don't make me feel smaller than I am. It only makes me behave stupidly "big".
Don't punish me in front of other people if you can help it. I'll take much more notice if you talk quietly with me in private.
Don't be too upset with me when I say "I hate you". It isn't you I hate but your power to control me.
Don't take too much notice of my small ailments. Sometimes they get me the attention that I need.
Don't Nag. If you do, I'll have to protect myself by appearing deaf.
Don't forget that I can not explain myself as well as I would like. This is why I'm not always very accurate.
Don't make rash promises. Remember that I feel badly let down when promises are broken.
Don't tax my honesty too much. I am easily frightened into telling lies.
Don't be inconsistent. That confuses me and makes me lose faith in you.
Don't tell me my fears are silly. They are terribly real, and you can make me feel better if you try to understand.
Don't put me off when I ask questions. If you do, you will find that I stop asking and look for information somewhere else.
Don't ever suggest that you are perfect or never wrong. It gives me too great a shock when I discover that you are neither.
Don't ever think that it is beneath your dignity to apologize to me. An honest apology makes me feel surprisingly warm toward you.
Don't forget how quickly I am growing up. It must be very hard to keep up with how I am changing. But please do try.
Don't forget that I love experimenting, trying different things. I couldn't grow without it, so please put up with it.
Don't forget that I can't grow up healthy without lots of understanding and love. But I don't need to tell you that, do I?
With love,
Your Child

Cute - True.. works for now too, and I wish a lot more people would try to read that sometime instead of some of the junk out there.. This is more of what a child really needs...

Week 18. Captian's log, will I ever sleep again?

Captains' log, 15th October the natives are getting restless, one is snoring in my face half the night and the other bouncing on my bladder. I have a feeling they are trying to wear me down until I am unwilling to fight back and just order pizza all the time.
Somethings going on that is stopping me from sleeping. Something between 2 and 3:30 am. Could be family stress from that horrible woman sending hate mail or it could be that I am more afraid that I won't wake up if a baby cries. I am not thinking so much the latter only because I know it's not here yet, I don't need to get up yet. Who knows, I even tried a benedryl and it didn't work. I talked to my sister in law tonight on the phone and she said, "you are just like your brother, he can sleep thru anything, it takes over 20 seconds for him to even realize I am shaking him.. I will never have that again :'( I would be ok if I could just sleep, even if I did get up t o "go" I can normally fall back asleep after. Some people say, get up if you can't fall back asleep after 10 minutes, go read or move around for 20 minutes or so then go back to bed. That won't work for me.

Well, I am at my pseudo half way mark this week. I hit #19 in a few short days... I also have an ultrasound tomorrow. I can still see most of my feet, I am out about 3 to 4 inches from where I started.. I used to have great abs, that will happen again one day.. I hope. Gulp....

backward? forward?

It's funny how sometimes people say things that make you wonder what they were really trying to say. Like "you don't look nearly as fat today" or "the swelling on your legs and face really has gone down, must have been the salt". Who says that? What is a real compliment?
I wondered where it came from that I say things that may be off color or out of the norm for me but others around me are really shining thru too.

These hormones are killing me.,,,

Week 11 - a few gigles while I am awake

Top 5 ways you know your in your first trimester

1. you put your keys in your hand and can't find them but for some reason you can't forget that you wanted a fish sandwish from McDonalds 4 days ago.

2. you almost fall asleep in the bathroom at work because you pee so slow and so long

3. The cafeteria lady at work is the first to touch your belly and your still wearing your normal clothes (so strange!)

4. No matter how tired you are, your still up at 1 am to p then again a half hour before the alarm goes off

5. You have some dream about your husband that leaves you pissed at him for most of a full day. (yeah, mine was someone was throwing snowballs at me and he didn't think it was a big deal, I woke up pissed and I am sure I didn't speak to him for well over an hour)

And the Bonus... Your at the Waterway and turn to the guy that wants to sell you a car wash and say " I dont NEED a gas station right now thank you!" before you can even figure out what is coming out of your mouth!

Ok, Plus - 2nd ultrasound today.. it was nice - abdominal and I even peed first. The baby was pissed because the weather has been so bad that I had to use my inhaler before I went so we didn't get any face shots because the little bugger was too busy being the next olympic gymnest!

Karen (the tech) had the worst time getting a clear shot of the babys face and legs and feet because there was quite a bit of dancing going on in there. No wonder I think I have to pee then I dribble, theres a show going on in there!
So, mom went with me. I was really glad she did. I think this is all so interesting that I am glad she got to go and see it all live.
We also went to Red Robin after and I got a chocolate malt and she got the worlds LARGEST rootbeer float!
(pictures soon.)
